CITIZENSHIP, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

The Lisbon Libraries have citizenship and inclusion  as two of  their core values, seeking to promote a critical sense and civic engagement as well as diversity, integration, and respect for the other. Therefore we wish our libraries to be places of critical reflection, dialogue, respect for others and fight against stereotyping and social isolation, contributing to a full citizenship experience.

Thus, our aim is to promote development of activities, services and attitudes grounded in the principles of citizenship, equality and inclusion. The main goal of this programme is to consolidate skills in

6) Social and Civic Competence of the European Framework of Reference.
