Based on a series of ideas generated and discussed with the local communities, the House of the Estrela Garden – A Theatre in Every Neighbourhood is committed to a diversified monthly cultural programme with the main goal of actively contributing to the creation of a network of proximity and knowledge sharing, environmental awareness, and climate literacy.

Due to its privileged location, the House aims to develop its action through cultural initiatives of a very practical nature and direct intervention in its surroundings, the Estrela Garden.

In addition to the cultural programme, which is open to all, the House of the Estrela Garden also has a library area with a range of specialised publications in these matters and a research centre dedicated to historic gardens.

We are a cultural equipment open to the city, to artists and to all the people of Lisbon, dedicated to building a more sustainable, supportive, and participatory society.
