The Lisbon Libraries develop learning activities of Portuguese for foreigners, with the aim of promoting the acquisition of basic vocabulary and grammar skills, thus promoting a smoother social, economic and professional integration.
In a non-formal approach, these activities rely mainly on speaking and sharing of information in a relaxed environment, through 3 distinct yet complementary levels:
This course includes A1 level grammatical and lexical content (or A2 depending on the group) following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Intermediate Level (B1/B2)
This course is aimed at people who have previously attended a Portuguese as a foreign language beginners course and would like to improve mainly their speaking but also their writing skills, in an informal setting. It covers grammatical and lexical areas at B1 level (or B2 depending on the group) following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
This level is aimed at people who already have basic or intermediate skills in Portuguese as a foreign language and would like to improve their speaking skills. It includes content that already presupposes a basic knowledge of the language, minimum A2 or intermediate level of Portuguese as a foreign language.
