Always an open door

On June 28, 2001, the Maria Keil Library opened its doors in the Cruz Vermelha Parish. In honour of the painter and children book illustrator, it invests strongly on collections and services for children and families.

Keenly hoping to empower the community, it also invests in establishing partnerships with other agents of change, forming part of the Alta Lisboa Community Group, as well as strengthening their bonds with several parish schools.

Grounded on its success, the Library is at the moment a cultural reference and a key piece in the community structure. More than a library, it is always an open door, a neighbour, a partner that is always available and ready to help.

An interesting detail for those who like Rapp: MC Estarca and Puto Kara were regular users of the Keil Library!
